The Smart Sustainable Cities and Historical Heritage (SSCHH) Secretariat in collaboration with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the Kyebi Executive Council (KEC) under the auspices of Osabarima Marfo Kwabrane and Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly (ASMA) organized a one day demonstration event as part of the establishment of the Science, Technology Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) in Kyebi.
The Secretariat hosted 70 students from 23 selected schools in the Municipality. The students were introduced to Virtual Reality (VR) Technology and used VR Headsets to interact with virtual ecosystems.
The Virtual Reality headset was used for teaching and learning purposes as well as for entertainment purposes. Softwares were connected to the headset which helped to stimulate their cognitive development by giving students a vivid representation of the virtual world.
The students participated in a 2hr Robotics training session and led a demonstration of the usage of drones for farm management, and rural security survelliance in the presence of their parents and the Kyebi Executive Council.
